Immunisations and Child Health

Our Practice Nurses, working with the Child Health Computer, offer the full range of childhood immunisations. Every child up to the age of five is invited at certain ages for a developmental check.

Travel Vaccination Clinic

Travel vaccinations (including Yellow Fever at our Pebsham Surgery) can be offered on completion of our Travel Immunisation Plan and once the Practice Nurse has checked current recommendations and your immunisation history. There may be costs for certain vaccines.

flujabsInfluenza/Pneumonia- Influenza vaccination

Clinics for the over 65’s and “at risk” groups are held yearly from October. Please contact the surgery prior to these dates for Clinic times and eligibility. Your Doctor will advise you on Pneumonia eligibility.

Minor Surgery

Minor procedures can be carried out at Pebsham. You will need to see a doctor for advice on eligibility.

    • If you have not been seen by a doctor for over three years you can also book in for a health check.



Community Nurses- Providing general nursing services to the housebound.

Health Visitors – Specialising in child health, health promotion and education. Tel 01424 735651weekdays (answer phone service available)

Community Psychiatric Nurse – Offering counselling and support for those with emotional difficulties and support for those affected by mental illness.

Chaperone – There may be times when the patient or doctor requires a third party to be present in a Consultation. Please notify the receptionist when making an appointment if you require this service.

Medical Examinations- Those examinations not covered by the NHS can be arranged through the receptionist. Charges may apply.

Medical Research- Dr Sharma undertakes Medical Research at Sea Road and patients are sometimes invited to take part in Clinical Trials if they wish to.
